Amy is passionate about educating school staff and school nurses on the impact of childhood trauma and how it translates into the classroom with learning and behavior.
She is looking forward to giving educators tools on how to create a safe environment to maximize the potential of each child.
Amy Isler, MSN, RN has over nine years of experience working as a credentialed school nurse managing children with chronic health conditions, including diabetes, asthma, seizures, and food allergies. She is passionate about bringing information on the effects of childhood trauma to the school setting, and teaching tools on how to connect and build relationships with all students.
She is also a freelance nurse writer who has crafted articles on important health news and topics for various publications including Verywell Health, and Healthnews.
Amy lives with her son, James, and mini Goldendoodle, Chico, in the Central California town of Tracy. She loves a good book, the scent of lemon verbena, mountain air after it rains, and binge watching HGTV.
