During Kristina’s journey in the nursing profession and now her graduate work in trauma informed care, she has been blessed with interdisciplinary health care connections. These connections help to support all individuals, whether patients or providers, in understanding personal trauma as well as cumulative trauma in a caring profession.

Professional Biography:

Kristina has over two decades in the nursing profession. She is enjoying a career practicing as a registered nurse, advanced practice nurse, prelicensure nursing professor, and hospice & palliative educator.

Kristina is a candidate for Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree with a focus on Leadership within the health care setting. Kristina’s DNP Project has increased her knowledge, appreciation, and application of trauma informed care. Her DNP project work involves improving trauma informed care knowledge in licensed nurses.

Kristina hopes that trauma informed care education for health care professionals will aid to heal our global trauma related to pandemic.


Our mission is to spread the concepts and practices of TIC to as many people as possible - to get it off the therapist’s couch, if you will.
