Trisha is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has a passion for helping individuals who have experienced trauma. Her heart lies in assisting clients find solutions that create a sense of normalcy in their lives. Experience has taught her that the first step in discovering a sense of self and developing healthy relationships can be a challenging process. However, by understanding emotional triggers, the overwhelming impact of trauma can be lessened. Her hope is to help individuals heal from unresolved traumatic experience, such as military experiences, loss of identity, sexual trauma, physical trauma, or emotional trauma.
Trisha has enjoyed working as a counselor in many capacities. She has been a contractor as well as owner of private practice. She holds a Masters degree in counseling, is certified in EMDR, an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist, a past member of Emergency Response Team and is trained in Trauma Informed Care modalities and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Her experience includes working at a Faith based Trauma Center in Conroe, Texas. There, Trisha developed groups assisting veterans learn coping skills for emotional regulation and emotional intelligence. She also worked with veterans and other clients deal with trauma, depression, anxiety, phobias and substance abuse. When not working, Trisha loves cycling and hiking in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. She has a four-year-old fur baby who is a great companion for enjoying the outdoors and visiting doggie parks.
